This declaration is to certify that all standard components manufactured by Fair-Rite Products Corp. listed in the 15th Edition Catalog meet the requirements of the current RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC as of January 1, 2005.

Fair-Rite's core business is the manufacture of soft ferrite components. The composition of the soft ferrite material is characterized by metal oxides. Soft ferrite material that Fair-Rite Products Corp. supplies has always been RoHS Compliant. All soft ferrite components manufactured by Fair-Rite Products Corp. have a Moisture Sensitivity Level of 1.

Fair-Rite Products Corp. supplies all standard components as RoHS compliant. Plastic cases used to assemble Fair-Rite "Snap-It" cable bead assemblies do not contain PBB or PBDE for flame retardant. The termination wire used on board level components has 100% matte tin plating with a nickel barrier and is Pb Free. All multi-layer chip components are terminated with RoHS Compliant plating (see Addendum 2 below). Both of these plating types are forward and backwards compatible with standard soldering processes.

Labels indicating RoHS compliant status are included on component packaging. The RoHS status will also appear on new acknowledgements and invoices.
