Fair-Rite Products is a local manufacturer of ferrite cores for the electronic industry. We are located in Wallkill, New York (Ulster County) and have been in business since 1952. We have locations in New York, Illinois and China. Corporate Headquarters and our Engineering Team are located in Wallkill, New York.

Fair-Rite has an immediate opening for an Application Engineer

We are expanding our sales and marketing function and are looking to fill a position of Application Engineer.  The Application Engineer will report directly to the Vice President.

The Application Engineer will provide technical knowledge about our products, so as to leverage our engineering and design services to facilitate solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities will include writing white papers explaining the use of our products in various applications, developing presentation materials for delivery either in person or through other media (such as webinars), keeping up-to-date on the latest advancements in ferrite and its applications and communicating this knowledge to others within and outside the organization.

The Application Engineer will need to work with other engineers, sales managers, or directly with customers to gather and deliver required information.

The Application Engineer will be involved from design, through development and delivery of new products. Responsibilities will include interfacing with field sales managers and customers to support customer design requirements. The Application Engineer will have responsibility for actively managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process and work closely with our process engineers to determine feasibility of design. Must be able to identify all technical issues of potential products and applications.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Applied Physics (BSAP) preferred
  • Strong understanding analog circuits.
  • Experience with design tools, such as Matlab and LabView.
  • Experience writing code in C/C++. Python, Java, or some scripting language preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills; including written and verbal.
  • Must be able to demonstrate previous experience with a design project from concept to completion.
  • Requires a self-starter who has the ability to prioritize, multitask and deal with pressure
  • Knowledge of ferromagnetic materials is a plus.

We have an immediate opening for an Sales Manager.

This individual will be responsible for generating new sales and increasing sales with existing customers.

Fair-Rite uses sales representatives throughout the United States. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and training these sales reps.

Our Sales Managers must be able to understand and be actively knowledgeable of market conditions and competitiveness of product(s) relative to other competitors and technologies.

This position requires the individual to travel in order to visit current and prospective customers, test labs and attend trade shows and technical sessions.

The Sales Manager will complete Requests For Quotes (RFQ’s), oversee the quotes and lead follow up.  This individual will be expected to analyze sales activity and trends, and develop solid sales forecasts.

In addition to working with external customers, this individual must be able to effectively work with manufacturing, quality, engineering and scheduling in order to ensure customer satisfaction.


  • Should either be degreed (preferably in Electrical Engineering or Electronics) or have a technical school certificate.
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a B2B sales environment, preferably technical sales.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Must have unquestionable ethics and superior.

We have a full time position available for an Inside Sales Manager.

Fair-Rite Products Corp. is a manufacturer of ferrites used in the electronics industry. We are a family owned business and have been in operation since 1952. Our corporate headquarters is located in Wallkill, New York (Ulster County).

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Inside Sales Manager to oversee and support our inside sales team. This individual will be responsible setting and tracking sales targets for the team.

The individual should be capable and willing to follow up with customers on quotations and respond to customer needs in addition to maintaining and growing our customer base.

The Inside Sales Manager will monitor sales metrics and manage the entire sales administration process.  He/She will collaborate with various professionals (external and internal), so it is essential to have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment.

He/She should also be able to lead and motivate the sales team to achieve specific goals, and be able to build a high performance sales team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Through previous experience the Inside Sales Manager should be able to suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process and use customer feedback to generate ideas on improvements to increase customer engagement.

This individual will also work closely with marketing and new business development to ensure our reputation for quality is maintained and promoted.


  • Proven work history of an Inside Sales Manager with approximately 7 to 10 years of sales experience.
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of the sales administration process, preferably in a manufacturing sales environment.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
  • Hands on experience with a CRM software program and be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Presentation programs, etc.).
  • Candidates should have some level of higher education, BS degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field preferred.

Fair-Rite has an immediate opening for Prototype Shop Facilitator/Inspector.

 Fair-Rite is looking for someone to assist the prototype shop with expediting the process of getting parts to our customers.

The Prototype Shop Facilitator/Inspector will be responsible for ensuring parts from the prototype shop are properly processed, inspected and sent to the customer in the most efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities will include physically transporting parts from prototype shop to electrical lab for inspection, inspecting the parts and packing parts for shipment to customers.

The right candidate must be able to work effectively with numerous departments and functions including sales, scheduling, electrical lab and production.

The Prototype Shop Facilitator/Inspector must be able to follow through on the process and will be held responsible for ensuring parts are inspected and shipped as timely as possible.


  • 2 year technical degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
  • Previous inspection experience, including the use various gages and optical measuring equipment is required.
  • Good communication skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to learn and understand our ERP system (CMS) for production reporting.
  • Must be able to physically transport parts between areas.

Due to an increase in customer orders, we have positions available in our manufacturing department. First shift positions run from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.  Second shift is from 3:30 to midnight. Starting wage is between $11.00 and $12.25 per hour. Second shift positions include a shift differential of $1.00 per hour.

Duties may include material handling, operating grinding or lapping equipment, loading a kiln, inspecting and packing parts or other entry level manufacturing tasks.

Candidates must have High School Diploma, GED or equivalent job experience. Must be able to lift, push and or pull up to 35 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time. For certain job functions, candidates will need to pass a pulmonary function test in order to wear a respirator.
